Supply Chain Assistant (Warehousing)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to support warehousing operations at its Libya warehouse in Tripoli. The role ensures that all warehouse transactions comply with IOM guidelines and contributes to the efficient flow of goods needed for migration‑related programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure warehousing transactions are performed in line with IOM internal guidelines.
• Assist units in receiving, storing, packing, kitting, labelling and dispatching goods to and from the Tripoli warehouse.
• Support Project Managers in stock replenishment, including liaising with vendors for timely deliveries.
• Coordinate stock movements, handling inquiries, transport arrangements and documentation such as Goods Received Notes.
• Prepare importation documentation to obtain VAT and duty‑free exemptions, facilitating smooth delivery of stocks.

Required profile

• Experience with warehouse or supply‑chain operations.
• Familiarity with import documentation and VAT/duty‑free procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal units.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established guidelines.
