Welding Inspector – Construction Project in Misrata

About the role

ISS International Spa is seeking a qualified Welding Inspector to join a critical construction project at Misrata Airport, Libya. The project involves the Hydrant Refueling System (HRS) that supplies aviation fuel and incorporates Emergency Shutdown Buttons (ESB) and a Leak Detection System (LDS). The role starts in September 2026 and runs until the end of December 2026, with a possible extension to complete all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect all welding activities on the HRS infrastructure to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Verify the correct installation and integrity of ESB and LDS components.
• Document inspection results, generate reports, and communicate findings to the construction team.
• Coordinate with contractors and quality‑assurance personnel to resolve non‑conformities.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and adhere to site safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a welding inspector on large‑scale construction or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with welding codes (e.g., AWS, ISO) and non‑destructive testing methods.
• Ability to work on a 60‑day on / 10‑day off rotation in a remote location.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear inspection documentation.
