Head of Financial Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Financial Accounting to lead our finance function in Tripoli. The role involves overseeing all accounting activities for a travel and tourism company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
• Perform financial reconciliations and monitor booking and agency accounts.
• Prepare organized financial reports, statements, and analyses for management.
• Oversee receipt processing, expense tracking, and cash flow management.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, integrity, and accuracy in all financial records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the travel & tourism sector.
• Strong commitment to working hours, integrity, and precision.
• Good command of English and ability to work onsite in Tripoli.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Word.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Experience using accounting software tailored for travel and tourism companies.
