Payroll Accountant

About the role

The Payroll Accountant will manage and process Presto’s payroll accurately and on time, ensuring full compliance with company policies, Libyan labor regulations, and financial procedures. This role works closely with Human Resources and Finance to guarantee the confidentiality and precision of employee payroll data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly payroll sheets, verify accuracy before approval and salary disbursement.
• Calculate salaries, allowances, overtime, incentives, deductions, end‑of‑service benefits, and leave entitlements in line with policies and regulations.
• Monitor social security contributions, tax deductions, and other statutory obligations, coordinating with relevant authorities.
• Reconcile payroll data with HR records and ensure employee information is correct prior to processing.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll records and ensure data is shared only with authorized personnel.
• Comply with internal financial controls, regulatory requirements, and perform any additional duties assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
