Reservoir Engineer

About the role

The Reservoir Engineer provides technical expertise to ensure safe, efficient and reliable delivery of products and services. Acting as a bridge between operations and technical teams, the role supports real‑time decision making, promotes new technologies and contributes to continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with operations groups to support reservoir‑related expertise and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide real‑time technical support during incidents, recovery actions and investigations.
• Assist in developing technical job designs and evaluating cost‑effective techniques.
• Participate in tender appraisal, technical viability assessments and risk management.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and represent the organization in professional societies.
• Collaborate with design/technical engineers to optimise technical solutions.
• Engage with universities, research institutes and external technical communities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering or related fields.
• Proven ability to communicate technical findings and support cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in incident response, technical design and continuous improvement initiatives.
