Supply Chain Assistant – Procurement

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to support procurement activities in its Tripoli office. Working under the daily supervision of the Supply Chain Officer and the operational guidance of the Head of Supply Chain, the assistant will serve both internal and external clients, ensuring efficient and client‑focused service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, consolidate, and verify procurement requisition forms against the Purchase Authorization Matrix and office guidelines.
• Support the preparation of tender documents, bid solicitations, and quotations; draft bid analysis summaries and assist in the evaluation process.
• After purchase approval, prepare and submit agreements, purchase orders, contracts, and coordinate required authorizations.
• Assist in discussions with contracted firms, monitor contract implementation, and ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and schedules.
• Track open purchase requisitions and purchase orders, follow up on timely delivery, coordinate receipt documentation, and update system records and reports.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Officer and Head of Supply Chain.
• Strong orientation toward providing efficient, client‑focused procurement support.
• Attention to detail in verifying documentation and monitoring contract performance.
