Supply Chain Assistant – Procurement Support

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to support procurement activities in its Tripoli office. Working under the Supply Chain Officer and the Head of Supply Chain, the role provides day‑to‑day assistance to both internal and external clients, ensuring efficient and compliant purchasing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, consolidate and verify procurement requisition forms against the Purchase Authorization Matrix.
• Assist the supervisor in preparing tender documents, soliciting bids, and drafting bid analysis summaries.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts and related documentation once approvals are obtained.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contracted firms, monitor contract implementation and ensure adherence to standards and schedules.
• Track open purchase requisitions and purchase orders, follow up on delivery of goods and services, and verify delivery notes with receiving units.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with procurement documentation.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with suppliers and internal units.

Required skills

• Familiarity with procurement processes, tender preparation and contract administration.
