Cost & Planning Engineer (International On-site Project)

About the role

Akteknik İnşaat Sanayi & Ticaret A.Ş. is looking for a Cost & Planning Engineer to join the on‑site team of a strategic ground infrastructure and road construction project. The role combines progress payment administration, detailed scheduling and rigorous cost control to support both site management and corporate headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, submit and follow up progress payment applications and supporting measurement documentation.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and measurements from drawings, surveys and site production records.
• Establish, monitor and update the project schedule, comparing actual progress with the baseline programme.
• Carry out cost control activities, including budget tracking, unit‑cost analysis, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders, claims and additional work documentation.
• Monitor material, equipment and resource consumption against budgeted quantities and report deviations.
• Coordinate measurement, valuation and payment matters with subcontractors.
• Produce periodic progress, cost and planning reports for site management and headquarters.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and commercial records throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience in progress payment preparation, project planning and cost control on construction projects.
• Experience on road, earthworks or infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site abroad on a rotational basis.

Required skills

• Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to read, interpret and quantify technical drawings and specifications.
