Country Team Coordinator – Central Mediterranean Route Programme

About the role

The Country Team Coordinator will support the implementation of the joint IOM‑UNICEF Global Programme on the Central Mediterranean Route. Working remotely from Tripoli, the consultant will facilitate coordination, stakeholder engagement and knowledge management for child protection and migration activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and facilitative support to the Country Team for programme implementation.
• Coordinate multi‑stakeholder mechanisms, organize workshops, regional and national consultations.
• Manage reporting processes, draft programme documents, joint reports and costed national action plans.
• Conduct desk reviews, mapping and analysis of practices, gaps and needs.
• Support donor reporting requirements and ensure compliance with UNICEF and IOM standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Migration Studies, Development, Public Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in programme coordination, migration, child protection or humanitarian programming.
• Proven experience coordinating multi‑stakeholder or inter‑agency initiatives.
• Experience organizing workshops, meetings and regional convenings.
• Strong report writing, documentation and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of child protection, migration, mixed migration, refugee and migrant protection frameworks.
• Understanding of inter‑agency coordination mechanisms and multi‑sectoral programme implementation.
• Excellent project coordination and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
