Country Team Coordinator – Central Mediterranean Route Programme (Libya)

About the role

The UNICEF Country Team in Tripoli seeks a Consultant to support the Central Mediterranean Route Programme. The role combines coordination, technical assistance, and facilitation to ensure effective implementation of the joint IOM‑UNICEF Global Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Provide coordination, technical and facilitative support to the Country Team for programme implementation.
• Maintain and strengthen coordination mechanisms, stakeholder engagement and knowledge‑management processes.
• Organise regional and national consultations, workshops and convenings.
• Prepare desk reviews, mapping analyses, programme documents and joint reports.
• Support the development of costed national action plans and fulfil donor reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Development Studies, Public Administration, International Development or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in programme coordination, migration, child protection, humanitarian or development programming.
• Proven experience coordinating multi‑stakeholder or inter‑agency initiatives and organising workshops or regional meetings.
• Strong report‑writing, documentation and communication abilities.
• Experience working with UN agencies, NGOs, government counterparts and international partners.
• Solid knowledge of child protection, migration, refugee and migrant protection, and humanitarian programming.
