Entry-Level Data Scientist (D&I)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated entry‑level Data Scientist to join our team in Libya. The role focuses on researching open‑ended data problems, developing algorithms, and applying machine learning to industrial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on open‑ended data questions and develop innovative solutions.
• Design and implement new algorithms for data analysis and system optimization.
• Assess emerging technologies for machinery diagnostics and prognostics.
• Apply machine learning and meta‑heuristic optimization methods to large, multivariate datasets.
• Develop data‑driven models for anomaly detection, failure prediction, and system optimization.
• Collaborate with field and product engineers to define health‑monitoring parameters.
• Communicate findings through oral and written reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms and optimization methods.
• Familiarity with data analysis, processing, and algorithm development.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Motivation to learn and grow in data science and industrial applications.
