Exploitation Manager – Asset Development

About the role

The Exploitation Manager will lead the optimisation of oil and gas assets in Libya, ensuring maximum reserves recovery and cost‑effective development. This senior position combines technical oversight with stakeholder management to drive field development and maintain strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead exploitation, reservoir engineering, geology and geophysics activities for the assigned asset.
• Develop and execute field development plans that balance cost, schedule and production performance.
• Provide technical and managerial oversight of subsurface management, drilling, completions, workover, stimulation and production engineering.
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams across subsurface, drilling, production and facilities engineering.
• Maintain client and stakeholder engagement as the primary interface on asset‑related matters.
• Implement portfolio and project control processes, including budget, scope and schedule management.
• Enforce asset management processes covering risk, contractor procurement, human resources, quality and communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15 years of oil & gas operations experience with a focus on exploitation and field development.
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional teams in complex on‑shore/off‑shore or brownfield environments.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to make high‑level decisions.
• Willingness to work in remote or field locations and adapt to challenging environments.
