About the role
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive HR Assistant to support the day‑to‑day operations of the Human Resources department at Prestoeat in Tripoli. The role involves managing employee records, contracts, attendance, leave administration, onboarding and off‑boarding logistics, and providing general administrative support.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain complete, up‑to‑date employee personnel files (physical and digital) and ensure all required documents are collected, verified, and archived.
- Prepare employment contracts, renewals, amendments and related HR documents for review and signature.
- Enter and update employee data in the HR system (new hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, terminations) and ensure data accuracy.
- Issue employment letters, salary certificates, experience letters and other official HR correspondence.
- Track probation periods, contract expiry dates and document renewals, flagging upcoming deadlines.
- Monitor daily attendance records, track absences, lateness and leave balances, and compile monthly data for payroll.
- Act as first point of contact for employee inquiries on HR procedures, forms and policies.
- Log employee complaints and disciplinary cases, assist in preparing investigation minutes and disciplinary correspondence.
- Ensure HR records and procedures comply with company policies and Libyan Labour Law No. 12 of 2010.
- Manage emails, schedule meetings, maintain calendars and organize filing systems.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills in Arabic; good English communication skills are an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Professional attitude with ability to maintain confidentiality.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with an HR system (HRIS) is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Libyan Labour Law No. 12 of 2010 and HR procedures is an advantage.
