Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding Coordinator

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a dynamic professional to lead its Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (HDP) portfolio across Algeria, Libya and Tunisia, with a primary focus on Libya. The Coordinator will shape programme strategies, ensure quality implementation, and represent DRC in humanitarian mine action and peacebuilding forums.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and roll out the HDP 2026 strategy, integrating it into the broader country strategy.
• Provide technical and capacity‑building support to peacebuilding and humanitarian mine action staff, including conflict‑sensitivity and quality‑assurance guidance.
• Lead high‑quality proposal development and support programme assessments, baseline studies, and impact evaluations.
• Map and engage national peacebuilding and mine‑action organisations for partnership opportunities.
• Collaborate with sector leads to embed HDP approaches across DRC programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian disarmament, mine action, or peacebuilding programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement strategic plans in complex environments.
• Strong analytical skills for programme monitoring, evaluation and learning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
