HVAC / Ventilation / Explosion‑Proof Exhaust Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC, ventilation and explosion‑proof exhaust engineer to provide consultancy on industrial projects involving oil & gas, chemical, workshop, warehouse or other hazardous‑area facilities. The role is project‑based and focuses on design, calculation and documentation of safe ventilation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing HVAC and ventilation systems and perform fresh‑air and exhaust‑air calculations.
• Calculate air‑change rates, develop ventilation zoning and airflow distribution plans.
• Design industrial exhaust ventilation and select explosion‑proof fans and related equipment.
• Review hazardous‑area ventilation, produce mechanical ventilation layouts and duct routing.
• Prepare HVAC equipment schedules, technical specifications for fans, louvers, dampers, ducts and accessories.
• Coordinate with electrical, fire‑protection, HSE and civil/structural disciplines.
• Generate design reports, calculation notes and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Mechanical or HVAC engineering background with proven industrial HVAC/ventilation design experience.
• Ability to produce calculations, layouts, equipment schedules and technical reports.
• Experience with hazardous‑area and explosion‑proof ventilation systems is highly preferred.
• Available for project‑based consultancy support.
