Marketing & Events Officer

About the role

Alafia Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment is looking for a Marketing & Events Officer to lead and support the planning, execution and coordination of marketing initiatives and corporate events in Tripoli. The role will help strengthen the brand’s presence in the Libyan healthcare market while ensuring all activities align with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and launch marketing campaigns that support company objectives.
• Organise medical conferences, exhibitions, workshops, product launches and other corporate events.
• Manage event logistics including venues, suppliers, branding materials, invitations and on‑site hospitality.
• Liaise with external suppliers, event organisers, healthcare professionals and partners.
• Develop and prepare marketing collateral, presentations and corporate communications.
• Oversee the company’s social media channels and digital content in collaboration with internal teams and agencies.
• Create content for social media platforms, campaigns and promotional activities.
• Maintain accurate records of marketing activities, budgets, timelines and supplier information.
• Monitor campaign and event performance, prepare reports and support post‑event evaluation.

Required profile

• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, medical, regulatory and commercial teams.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on brand consistency.
• Proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
