Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Manager

About the role

The Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Manager will lead International Medical Corps‑Libya’s MHPSS programming, working closely with local partners and government stakeholders to deliver high‑quality mental health services across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all MHPSS program activities at the country level.
• Supervise, mentor and build capacity of the MHPSS team, including performance reviews and professional development.
• Maintain regular communication with the Program Coordinator, Country Director and other health, nutrition and MNH teams for an integrated approach.
• Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements in partnership with Grants and Contracts Management.
• Collaborate with national implementing partners and government focal points to implement and monitor projects.
• Provide technical guidance for MHPSS trainings, supervision and the revision of national mental health protocols.
• Represent IMC on national stakeholder platforms and coordinate with key officials.
• Conduct field visits for monitoring, evaluation, capacity building and quality assurance.
• Oversee procurement, distribution and monitoring of psychotropic medication.
• Develop and manage MHPSS referral pathways with NGOs and external service providers.
• Lead M/E activities, develop tools, collect and analyse data, and ensure timely, high‑quality reporting.
• Manage the MHPSS budget in coordination with the finance department.

Required profile

• Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Proven experience coordinating and managing MHPSS programs in humanitarian settings.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and building staff capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies, local partners and donors.
