Peacebuilding Specialist

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a national Peacebuilding Specialist to lead and support peacebuilding activities in Libya. The role involves monitoring the conflict environment, providing technical guidance, and ensuring quality across peacebuilding programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the evolving conflict context and conduct thorough conflict analyses.
• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance to peacebuilding programme staff.
• Support capacity development of DRC staff and partner organisations.
• Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and funding applications.
• Ensure that peacebuilding activities align with DRC’s strategic objectives and humanitarian standards.

Required profile

• National candidate with relevant academic qualifications in peacebuilding, conflict studies, international relations or a related field.
• Proven experience in conflict analysis and peacebuilding within humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of the Libyan context and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
