About the role
The Protection Associate (Assessments and Referrals) supports IOM’s pre‑departure activities for migrants in Libya. Working under the Senior Protection Coordinator and National Protection Officer, the associate ensures timely collection and processing of migrants’ information to facilitate safe return and reintegration.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in implementing pre‑departure procedures in line with IOM guidelines.
- Collect, verify, and process migrants’ personal and protection data before departure.
- Coordinate referrals to relevant services and agencies to ensure appropriate support.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting on protection activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
- Experience or interest in migration, protection, or humanitarian assistance.
- Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with national authorities and partners.
