About the role
QP is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary construction projects in Benghazi. You will be responsible for guiding projects from concept through completion, ensuring that scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety targets are achieved.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, manage and control projects from pre‑contract through construction and completion, delivering against agreed scope, programme and budget.
- Lead coordination across design, procurement and construction, managing consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
- Monitor and update project programmes, cost plans and risk registers, proactively handling changes and delays.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, contractual requirements and local/international regulations.
- Prepare and manage tender and contractual documentation, supporting procurement strategies and contractor appointment.
- Act as Engineer under FIDIC contracts where applicable and administer contracts accordingly.
- Provide site supervision and inspections to ensure works align with approved designs and specifications.
- Prepare and deliver clear progress reports, presentations and recommendations for clients and senior stakeholders.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent experience; Master’s degree is an asset.
- Proven experience delivering complex or large‑scale projects across pre‑ and post‑contract stages with multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of construction delivery, FIDIC contracts, quality assurance and site safety.
- Excellent planning, organisational and reporting skills with the ability to manage pressure and make informed decisions.
- Confident communicator with strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with MS Project.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of FIDIC contract administration.
