Protection Assistant – Child Protection (Case Management)

About the role

The Protection Assistant will support child protection case management in Tripoli, implementing DRC’s policies and standards. The role involves direct service delivery, referrals, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to safeguard children at risk.

Key responsibilities

• Implement child protection case management in line with DRC policies, SOPs and Minimum Standards.
• Provide direct psychosocial support (PSS) and other services to children.
• Make, enable and accompany referrals for children at risk.
• Ensure child‑friendly spaces and community‑based mechanisms operate safely and effectively.
• Collect, enter and analyse case data for internal and inter‑agency reporting.
• Coordinate with protection specialists, program managers, MEAL teams and external stakeholders.
• Support logistics, administration and security coordination as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in humanitarian interventions, preferably child protection.
• Experience in child protection case management or related individualized services.
• University degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Humanitarian Affairs or a related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and good working knowledge of English.
• Strong cultural awareness, ability to work with vulnerable migrants and refugees.

Required skills

• Basic use of MS Office applications.
• Data entry and analysis for case management reporting.
