Supply Chain Associate (Logistics)

About the role

The Supply Chain Associate will support the IOM Libya office in managing procurement, logistics and supply‑chain activities. The role ensures that goods and services are acquired, stored and delivered in a timely, compliant and cost‑effective manner to support humanitarian operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and consolidate procurement requisition forms and ensure compliance with the Purchase Authorisation Matrix.
• Prepare tender documents, solicit bids, analyse quotations and support the evaluation process.
• Issue purchase orders, contracts and coordinate authorisations, then monitor delivery status and confirm satisfactory receipt.
• Review vendor invoices, prepare payment requests and liaise with Finance for timely payments.
• Maintain physical and electronic procurement records and generate periodic reports on supply‑chain performance.
• Conduct market surveys, evaluate new suppliers and monitor contract renewals.
• Coordinate fleet operations, vehicle schedules, logbooks and maintenance activities.
• Provide briefing and technical guidance on procurement procedures to office staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field with at least three years of relevant experience (or high‑school diploma with five years).
• Experience in procurement, logistics, vendor management and asset management, preferably within an international organisation.
• Fluency in English (required) and ability to work with national and international partners.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to prepare clear reports and negotiate with suppliers.
