About the role
COOPI is seeking a WASH Programme Coordinator to lead water, sanitation and hygiene activities in Libya, ensuring alignment with project objectives, donor requirements and international humanitarian standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement and monitor WASH interventions, supervising technical studies and ensuring quality control of deliverables.
- Develop stakeholder maps for municipal services, water supply, wastewater, agriculture, solid waste and environmental governance.
- Coordinate with municipalities, government agencies, local partners and multi‑stakeholder platforms to improve basic service delivery.
- Design and deliver capacity‑building programmes for municipal staff, local partners and community stakeholders.
- Support monitoring and evaluation systems, analyse field data and prepare technical and progress reports.
- Identify funding opportunities, contribute to project design and support communication and fundraising initiatives.
Required profile
- Relevant university degree (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Sciences) or at least 5 years of professional experience in WASH, development or humanitarian programming.
- Experience working in conflict or post‑conflict environments.
- Minimum 3 years of experience coordinating or managing NGO WASH projects.
