Field Operator – Wireline

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Field Operator to join our Wireline Services team. You will work on‑site supporting customers, maintaining wireline units and ensuring safe, efficient well‑site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain assigned wireline unit, perform all pre‑job, well‑site and post‑job duties, and keep the equipment in a state of readiness.
• Train and mentor junior operators on safe operating procedures.
• Complete required paperwork, records and communications as directed by the District Manager.
• Drive company vehicles safely, adhering to all regulations and arriving on schedule.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives for ballistics operations.
• Maintain strong customer relations and uphold Baker Hughes HSE policies and core values.
• Execute duties in accordance with Managing Base Operations, Managing Well Operations, and Managing Equipment and Logistics manuals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating wireline equipment.
• Valid wireline truck‑driving license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of oil‑ and‑gas industry products.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with federal, state and local regulations governing explosives operations.
