Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive the design, installation and reliability of rotating equipment, pressure vessels and piping systems within the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will head multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate with external design consultants to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams on mechanical design projects.
• Manage and review work of external design consultants.
• Oversee design, analysis and documentation of pumps, compressors, turbines, pressure vessels and piping systems.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes, mechanical design standards and best engineering practices.
• Support installation, commissioning and reliability improvement initiatives on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven expertise with rotating equipment, pressure vessels and piping systems.
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes and mechanical design standards.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing design consultants.
