Senior Geophysicist

About the role

The Senior Geophysicist will support exploration and development activities by leading seismic interpretation, subsurface evaluation and reservoir modelling. The role provides technical advice for strategic asset decisions and prepares presentations for Joint Venture partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 2D/3D seismic interpretation and subsurface evaluations.
• Manage seismic acquisition, processing QA/QC, and interpretation workflows.
• Support reservoir modelling and prospect maturation activities.
• Prepare and present technical recommendations to JV committees and management.
• Assist with exploration, appraisal, and development work programmes.
• Contribute to geophysical best practices, procedures, and capability development.

Required profile

• MSc in Geophysics, Earth Sciences or related discipline.
• 10‑15 years of upstream Oil & Gas experience with a major or large independent E&P operator.
• Strong hands‑on experience in seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation.
• Experience evaluating subsurface opportunities in North Africa.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Preferred: proven ability to engage with Joint Venture partners and regulatory stakeholders, commercial awareness and technical leadership.
