Cost Accountant

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is for a Cost Accountant based in Benghazi. The role focuses on preparing and analysing cost reports, maintaining cost standards, and managing journal entries to support accurate financial reporting and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse cost reports and maintain cost standards.
• Manage journal entries and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis to improve financial operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Cost Accounting and related processes.
• Experience preparing and analysing financial statements.
• Strong analytical skills for financial problem‑solving and decision‑making.
• Proficiency in recording and managing accurate journal entries.
• Solid understanding of finance concepts and principles.
• Attention to detail and high organisational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA advantageous.
• Familiarity with financial software and tools is a plus.
