Cath Lab Technologist – Cardiovascular Centre

About the role

We are looking for a Cath Lab Technologist to join the catheterisation laboratory team at a leading cardiovascular centre in Misrata, Libya. You will support cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring safe and efficient patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the cath lab, equipment and sterile field for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Assist cardiologists during angiography, angioplasty, stenting and pacemaker or device implantation.
• Monitor patient vital signs and haemodynamic data (ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) throughout procedures.
• Operate and maintain cath lab equipment, including haemodynamic monitoring systems and imaging devices.
• Handle catheters, guidewires, stents, balloons and other supplies while following radiation safety and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate procedure records, manage inventory and respond to emergencies, providing cardiac life support when required.

Required profile

• Certification or associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a cath lab.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS is an advantage).
• Good working knowledge of English; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to relocate to Libya.
