CSSD Technician – Sterile Services

About the role

Myn is hiring a skilled CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) Technician to join a leading cardiovascular centre in Misrata, Libya. You will ensure surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilised, and ready for cardiac procedures, directly supporting patient safety in operating theatres and cath labs.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort, decontaminate and clean used surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, assemble and package instrument sets, including cardiac and cardiovascular surgical trays.
• Operate and monitor sterilisation equipment such as autoclaves, washer‑disinfectors and low‑temperature sterilisers.
• Carry out routine quality checks, including biological and chemical indicator testing.
• Maintain accurate records for traceability, batch tracking and sterilisation cycles.
• Store and distribute sterile supplies to operating theatres, cath labs and other departments.
• Report equipment faults and support routine maintenance while following infection‑prevention protocols.

Required profile

• Completed CSSD training programme and decontamination/sterilisation certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a CSSD or sterile processing department.
• Basic knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures, preferably in a cardiac or operating‑theatre setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good working knowledge of English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Willingness to relocate to Libya.
