CSSD Technician – Sterilization & Instrument Management

About the role

We are looking for a skilled CSSD Technician to manage the cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The role ensures that all sterile supplies are ready for use in operating rooms and clinical departments.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort, clean, and decontaminate used surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, assemble, pack, label, and prepare instruments for sterilization.
• Operate sterilization equipment following established procedures and verify indicators.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation of all activities.
• Store sterile instruments safely and distribute sets to operating rooms and clinical areas.
• Identify and report damaged or defective instruments.
• Coordinate with OR, nursing, and clinical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
• Decontamination and Sterilization Certification.
• 2–3 years of relevant CSSD experience.
• Good understanding of cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, instrument handling, and infection‑control practices.
