Head Host - Fine Dining

About the role

The Head Host leads the restaurant reception and guest seating operations in a fine dining restaurant in Tripoli, ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional and memorable first impression. The role reports to the Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager and supervises Hosts and Hostesses.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests courteously and ensure a seamless arrival, seating and departure experience, handling VIP guests and special requests
• Manage reservations, optimize table allocation and monitor walk-ins, waitlists and table turnover
• Coordinate large group bookings and special events with management
• Supervise Hosts and Hostesses, conduct pre-shift briefings and train them on fine dining etiquette
• Monitor staff grooming, attendance and professionalism, and support recruitment and onboarding
• Work with the service team to keep the restaurant flowing smoothly and keep reception areas tidy
• Minimize no-shows, maximize seating capacity and support revenue and guest satisfaction goals

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in hospitality, hotel management or business administration preferred
• At least 3-5 years of experience in hospitality, restaurant reception or guest relations
• At least 1-2 years in a supervisory role in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel or upscale hospitality setting
• GCC or international hospitality experience is an advantage
• Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and high attention to detail
