Humanitarian Disarmament & Peacebuilding Coordinator

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is looking for a dynamic Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (HDP) Coordinator to lead programme strategy and advocacy across Algeria, Libya and Tunisia, with a primary focus on Libya.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and capacity development to peacebuilding and humanitarian mine action staff.
• Guide HDP staff and national partners on capacity‑building approaches and conflict‑sensitive programming.
• Lead design, formulation and high‑quality proposal development for HDP programmes.
• Roll out the HDP 2026 strategy and integrate it into the broader country strategy.
• Identify innovative methods for peacebuilding programming and disseminate best practices.
• Support quality assessments, baseline studies, evaluations and impact assessments in coordination with MEAL teams.
• Map and engage potential national partners for strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate with other sector leads to integrate HDP into the overall DRC portfolio.

Required profile

• Dynamic professional with experience in humanitarian mine action and peacebuilding.
• Proven ability to develop programme strategies and represent the organisation in advocacy settings.
• Experience in capacity building, conflict sensitivity and quality assurance.
• Strong coordination skills with national partners and internal teams.
