Local Coordinator for the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Libya

About the role

The successful candidate will be appointed as Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Libya. The role involves implementing and coordinating Erasmus+ promotion, support, dissemination and administrative activities across the country. The position reports to the EU Delegation, the Ministry and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and disseminate Erasmus+ programmes, maintain a website, organise information campaigns and produce promotional material.
• Provide training and support to potential applicants, including workshops on proposal preparation and specific EU programme topics.
• Collect and analyse project results, contribute to studies, statistics and reports for the European Commission and EACEA.
• Monitor higher‑education reforms, draft briefing papers and reports on project implementation.
• Manage the NEO’s technical and administrative staff, oversee the budget and prepare implementation reports.
• Coordinate with the EACEA, EU Delegation, local authorities and other NEOs, ensuring effective collaboration and reporting.

Required profile

• University Master’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of project‑management experience, including international projects.
• Fluent English (minimum CEFR B2) – oral and written.
• Experience managing or coordinating a team.
• Ability to manage priorities and strong analytical, communication and reporting skills.
• Good knowledge of the local higher‑education, vocational training, sport or youth sectors.
• Motivation, commitment and readiness to travel within Libya and occasionally abroad.
• Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
