About the role
Fulkrum is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to lead a short‑term inspection project in the Misrata area, Libya. The assignment focuses on hydrant refuelling systems and leak detection systems, covering engineering, procurement, erection, and commissioning activities.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering of the new Misrata Hydrant Refuelling System (HRS).
- Procure and supply all mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical goods required for erection and initial operation.
- Manage preservation, packing, transportation, and site delivery of equipment.
- Oversee erection works, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up phases.
- Provide on‑site management during erection, commissioning, and start‑up.
- Conduct training for the owner’s personnel.
Required profile
- Full right to work in Libya and residence in Libya or a neighbouring country.
- Welding Inspector certification (CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent).
- Level II NDT qualification for Radiographic (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Penetrant (PT) and Magnetic (MT) testing.
- Strong reporting and communication skills; fluency in English.
- Proven inspection and supervision capabilities with the ability to assess work quality.
