About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking an Outreach and Community‑Based Protection Officer (P) to support migrants travelling the Central Mediterranean Route, particularly those identified in Libya. The role focuses on delivering need‑based protection services and addressing exploitative practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outreach activities and provide community‑based protection to migrants on the Central Mediterranean Route.
• Identify cases of exploitation and coordinate appropriate protection interventions.
• Deliver need‑based assistance to migrants identified in Libya, in line with IOM protection standards.

Required profile

• Open to first‑ and second‑tier candidates, with a preference for qualified female applicants.
• Applicants from non‑represented IOM Member States are encouraged to apply.
• Experience or knowledge of migration flows in the Central Mediterranean region is desirable.
