Piping Supervisor – Aviation Fuel Infrastructure Project

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor for an aviation fuel infrastructure EPC project in Misrata, Libya. The role involves overseeing the construction of underground and above‑ground fuel distribution and aircraft refuelling piping networks, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise piping fabrication, erection and installation activities on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, foremen and site personnel to ensure alignment with project schedules.
• Verify compliance with approved P&IDs, isometric drawings, layouts and specifications.
• Monitor welding, fit‑up, NDT, hydro‑testing, flushing, reinstatement and mechanical completion activities.
• Ensure material identification, preservation and traceability.
• Collaborate daily with Construction, QA/QC, HSE and other disciplines.
• Report progress, potential delays, constraints or technical issues.
• Support preparation of test packs, punch lists and mechanical completion dossiers.
• Assist the Construction Manager during progress meetings and subcontractor coordination.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Piping Supervisor on EPC projects in oil & gas, petrochemical, fuel storage or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, welding, NDT and pressure‑testing.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, general arrangements and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with mechanical completion, test packs, punch‑list management and construction quality documentation.
• Experience supervising multinational piping subcontractor teams.
• Previous work on fuel distribution systems, airport fuel facilities or underground networks is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of HSE requirements for construction sites.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
• EU citizenship required for mobilization and security reasons.
• Willingness to work on a rotational basis in Libya.
