Resident Controls Technical Field Advisor

About the role

The Resident Controls Technical Field Advisor joins GE Vernova's Gas Power One Field Services team to lead on‑site activities at customer power generation facilities. The role combines technical expertise, resource coordination, and customer interaction to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor site resources including labor, tools, and technical assistants.
• Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of power generation equipment.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical instruction to customer representatives.
• Prepare and submit technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, timesheets, and expense sheets.
• Sign off on changes, ensure compliance with GE safety standards, and drive customer satisfaction.
• Coach, mentor, and train team members on field engineering practices.
• Conduct walk‑downs, verify parts availability, and ensure all required components are shipped to the site.

Required profile

• Lead Technical Field Advisor (TFA) with completed Level III competencies.
• Proven experience managing complex field service projects in the energy sector.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to make decisions within defined parameters.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
