Sales Manager - Benghazi

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding, the Group's air, ocean and road freight specialist, is hiring a Sales Manager in Benghazi, Libya. The role covers designing and implementing a field sales strategy for a defined geographic region, product line or market segment, driving revenue growth, customer retention and acquisition and higher lead conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Design the field sales strategy, including sales forecasts, budgets and manpower plans, and prepare plans to generate leads, manage accounts and close sales through a field sales team.
• Scan the market, identify and contact prospective customers, assess their needs and recommend suitable products or services.
• Develop and deliver bids, presentations, proposals and product demonstrations to major customers, and negotiate terms of sale.
• Plan and run marketing campaigns supporting customer acquisition and retention, and resolve customer issues with internal teams such as sales, marketing, operations and service management.
• Support field sales representatives in key or complex accounts, set targets and maintain records for the field sales department.
• Supervise the team by assigning work, setting timelines, reviewing output and supporting performance management, and help recruit, motivate and coach team members.
• Influence stakeholders, build relationships with business leaders across DHL, coordinate third parties and advise customers and key stakeholders on processes, systems and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• More than 6 years of experience.
• Ability to supervise experienced professionals who work with latitude and independence.
