About the role

The Head of Cardiac Anesthesia & ICU will lead the cardiac anesthesia and intensive care units, ensuring exceptional patient care and optimal clinical outcomes. This senior leadership position requires a board‑certified anesthesiologist with extensive experience in cardiac anesthesia and critical care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the cardiac anesthesia and ICU, guaranteeing high‑quality clinical delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals.
• Drive quality‑improvement and patient‑safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
• Develop and implement strategic service plans for complex cardiac surgical and ICU cases.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of clinical anesthesia experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to cardiac anesthesia and critical care.
• Proven leadership experience in a tertiary‑care hospital or cardiac centre.
• Board‑certified or fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia.

Required skills

• Expertise in cardiac anesthesia and critical care medicine.
• Familiarity with advanced monitoring and cardiac support devices (ECMO, IABP, VADs).
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving and communication abilities under pressure.
