Head of Project – Roads and Bridges

About the role

Khalifa Holding Group, a leading construction firm in Libya, seeks an experienced Head of Project to lead roads and bridges projects and act as Deputy Managing Director. The role involves strategic support to senior management and hands‑on oversight of large‑scale infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute roads and bridges construction projects, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Provide strategic and operational assistance to the Managing Director, including administrative and project‑management tasks.
• Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary project teams, aligning them with quality, budget and timeline objectives.
• Enforce safety regulations, legal requirements and industry standards across all project sites.
• Liaise with stakeholders, contractors and government authorities to facilitate seamless execution.
• Prepare, monitor and review project budgets, delivering regular updates to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15–20 years of experience managing large‑scale roads and bridges projects, including QC/QA, safety compliance and budget control.
• Proven leadership ability to mentor and motivate multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
