Local Coordinator for the National Erasmus+ Office in Libya

About the role

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, together with the EU Delegation in Libya and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, is seeking a Local Coordinator for the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Libya. The coordinator will lead the implementation of Erasmus+ activities at the national level, fostering education, training, youth, and sport initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and disseminate information about the Erasmus+ programme, organise information campaigns and maintain a dedicated website.
• Provide support and training to potential local applicants, including workshops on preparing competitive proposals.
• Disseminate and exploit project results, contributing to studies, statistics and reports for the European Commission and EACEA.
• Follow up higher‑education issues and activities of Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts, drafting briefing papers and progress reports.
• Administer the NEO by managing technical and administrative staff, monitoring the budget and preparing implementation reports.
• Coordinate reporting and cooperation with EACEA, the EU Delegation, national authorities, the European Commission and other NEOs.

Required profile

• Minimum eligibility criteria as defined by the recruiting authorities.
• Relevant higher‑education background and experience in programme coordination.
• Strong knowledge of the Erasmus+ framework and its objectives.
