Mechanic – Construction Machinery Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanic will work on‑site in Benghazi, Libya, performing routine and preventive maintenance on construction machinery, vehicles and heavy equipment. The role ensures safe and efficient operation of equipment to support continuous project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical issues and perform repairs or parts replacements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on construction machinery and vehicles.
• Document all maintenance activities and coordinate schedules with site supervisors and equipment operators.
• Maintain workshop tools, clean work areas and follow safety, environmental and quality standards.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certificate in mechanics, automotive technology or a related field (preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with heavy equipment inspection, servicing and safe operation support.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and maintenance instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with ISO or similar standards is an advantage.
