Resident Engineer – Airport Project

About the role

The Resident Engineer will lead on‑site construction activities for a major airport development in Libya. You will ensure that all works are carried out safely, meet the required specifications, stay on schedule and achieve the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction operations on the airport site.
• Monitor progress against programme and intervene to resolve delays.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality (QA/QC) and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Coordinate activities of contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Report on site performance, risks and issues to senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience on airport projects.
• Previous role as Resident Engineer, Site Engineer or Construction Manager.
• Strong knowledge of construction supervision and project delivery.
• Experience coordinating contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of QA/QC, HSE and construction standards.
• International or Middle‑East/North‑African project experience is a plus.
• Experience working in challenging or remote environments preferred.
