Senior Site Manager

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Site Manager to lead the civil, mechanical, and electrical installation works at a major Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) project in Benghazi, Libya. The role demands strict adherence to schedule, budget, and international quality standards while operating in a challenging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on‑site construction, engineering, and installation activities, ensuring compliance with contract designs and technical specifications.
• Lead negotiations and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and local authorities using professional Arabic communication.
• Provide strategic leadership to the site team, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimise resource allocation and productivity.
• Prepare regular, accurate high‑level reports and coordinate seamlessly between the site and executive head office.
• Enforce Occupational Health & Safety (HSE) and environmental regulations across the entire site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of site‑management experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects, preferably WWTP construction.
• Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and good command of English (highly preferred).
• Extensive international project experience in the MENA region.
• Strong knowledge of project management, budgeting, progress payment, claim management, and scheduling tools.
• Exceptional leadership, crisis‑management, and decision‑making abilities.
• Adaptability to international site environments and resilience under challenging conditions.
