Strategy Business Planning Manager

About the role

Libya Africa Investment Portfolio (LAIP), established in 2006 and owned by the Libyan Investment Authority, develops a diversified investment portfolio across industries and regions. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Strategy Business Planning Manager in Tripoli to lead strategic and business planning across its portfolio. The role covers market and industry analysis, assessment of investment opportunities and development of long-term plans aligned with growth and returns objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare business plans, financial models and performance dashboards.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support investment decisions with data-driven insights.
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to turn strategy into actionable initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional input and contribute to improving planning processes and frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field; a master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Proven experience in investment management, corporate strategy, consulting or related sectors, preferably in emerging markets.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professional judgment and commitment to sustainable, long-term value creation.
