Supply Chain Officer – Expression of Interest

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to oversee supply chain activities for its Libya Country Office and sub‑offices, ensuring delivery of quality goods and services to beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct strategic planning, logistics capacity assessments and market research to inform procurement decisions.
• Supervise procurement, warehouse management, transport, fleet, assets and facilities management, and ensure compliance with IOM/UN procurement rules.
• Identify bottlenecks, optimise processes, maintain a qualified vendor pool and oversee bidding, contract award and purchase order processing.
• Prepare progress reports, statistical information and briefing notes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent the Country Office in UN inter‑agency supply chain meetings and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a university degree with seven years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing diverse procurement and logistics operations and leading large teams.
• Fluency in English (oral and written); working knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of IOM/UN internal procurement and financial rules.
• Strong computer literacy; working knowledge of Oracle is an advantage.
• Proficiency in procurement, logistics and supply chain management processes.
