Technical Office Engineer - Wastewater Treatment Project

About the role

Kuzu Group is looking for an experienced Technical Office Engineer to run Technical Office processes for its CCS Wastewater Treatment Project in Benghazi, Libya. The role covers quantity surveying, progress payments, unit price analysis, cost control, contracts and planning, and ensures work is executed flawlessly, on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and follow up progress payment certificates (interim payment applications) for the employer/client and subcontractors
• Carry out quantity surveying, cost estimation, unit price analysis and budgeting for civil works of the plant
• Monitor progress against the baseline schedule and report potential delays or variances
• Support drafting, negotiation and administration of subcontractor contracts
• Check that field execution matches structural design drawings, coordinate revisions and As-Built drawings
• Handle technical correspondence, submittals (RFI, material submittals) and documentation
• Prepare weekly and monthly technical office progress reports for the Project Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in Technical Office operations (cost control, progress payments, quantity surveying, contracts, planning)
• Previous experience on wastewater treatment plants, water structures or industrial infrastructure projects strongly preferred
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage

Required skills

• AutoCAD and advanced MS Excel
• MS Project or Primavera P6 knowledge is a plus
• Reading structural drawings, unit price analysis and quantity estimation
