Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding Coordinator

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council seeks a dynamic professional to lead its Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (HDP) portfolio across Algeria, Libya and Tunisia, with a primary focus on Libya. The coordinator will shape programme strategies, ensure high‑quality implementation, and represent DRC in humanitarian mine action and peacebuilding forums.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and capacity development for peacebuilding and humanitarian mine action staff.
• Guide HDP teams on conflict‑sensitive approaches and partnership engagement with national actors.
• Lead design, formulation and proposal development for HDP programmes, aligning with the 2026 strategy and broader country strategies.
• Conduct programme assessments, baseline studies, evaluations and impact analyses in collaboration with MEAL teams.
• Map and cultivate partnerships with national peacebuilding and mine‑action organisations.
• Support resource mobilisation and external liaison activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian disarmament, mine action or peacebuilding programmes.
• Strong ability to develop and implement strategic plans and to represent the organisation externally.
• Excellent analytical skills for programme design, monitoring and evaluation.
• Experience working in North‑African contexts, particularly Libya, is highly desirable.
